Bordeaux Cookies Recipe

Bordeaux cookies are very crunchy and delicious. They go great with tea or coffee. Their special feature is their slight caramel flavor.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons milk

Instructions
 

  • Mix the butter and sugar well.
  • Add vanilla essence, baking soda and salt to it.
  • Gradually add the flour and make a soft dough.
  • If the dough seems tough, add milk.
  • Refrigerate the dough for 30 minutes.
  • Make small patties and place on a baking sheet.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
  • When golden, take out and cool.
  • Enjoy with tea or coffee.

Notes

  • Use fresh butter so that the taste is excellent.
  • Mix the sugar well so that the mixture is smooth.
  • Keep the dough soft so that the cookies are light and crunchy.
  • Don't leave them in the oven for too long, otherwise they will become hard.
  • Store them in an airtight container after they cool.
