Make 2 espresso shots or strong coffee.
Set aside while still hot. This is your coffee base.
Pour milk into a small saucepan.
Add brown sugar and vanilla extract.
Heat on medium until warm, not boiling.
Stir constantly to prevent burning.
Use your frother to make foam.
Whisk vigorously if no frother available.
The milk should be creamy and bubbly.
Pour caramel sauce into your mug.
Add the hot espresso on top.
Stir well to mix flavors together.
Pour frothed milk over the coffee mixture.
Leave room for whipped cream on top.
Top with whipped cream generously.
Drizzle extra caramel sauce over it.
Use a kitchen torch for caramelized sugar.
This creates the "brulée" effect perfectly.
