Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup All-purpose flour
  • 2 large  Eggs
  • Chicken breasts (boneless and skinless)
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese (grated)
  • 1 cup Panko bread crumbs
  • 2 cups Marinara sauce
  • 1/2 cups Mozzarella cheese (shredded)
  • 1 tsp Basil (dried)
  • 1/2 tsp Black pepper
  • 1 tsp Oregano (dried)
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Onion powder
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • Fresh basil leaves (for garnish)
  • 1 tsp Salt

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C), line sheet with parchment paper.
  • Combine Parmesan, panko, basil, oregano, garlic, onion, salt, and pepper.
  • Place flour in one bowl and beat eggs in another.
  • Coat chicken in flour, dip in eggs, press into Parmesan mixture.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet, and cook chicken for 3-4 minutes on each side.
  • Transfer browned chicken to a sheet, and top with marinara, and mozzarella.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes until the chicken is cooked, and the cheese is golden.
  • Garnish with fresh basil, and serve hot.

Notes

  • Keep a close eye on the oven temperature for the perfect golden crust.
  • Ensure each chicken breast is generously coated for that signature flavour.
