- 1 Box White Cake Mix
- 1 Can Crushed Pineapples 20 Oz
- 1 Cup Granulated Sugar
- 8 Oz Cream Cheese
- 1/2 Cup Butter
- 3 Cups Powdered Sugar
- 1 Tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1/2 Cup Pecans
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Grease your baking pan with non-stick spray. This prevents the cake from sticking.
Prepare the white cake mix in a bowl. Follow the package directions for eggs and oil. Mix until the batter is very smooth.
Pour the batter into your greased pan. Bake for about thirty minutes. Check it with a toothpick for doneness.
While baking, mix pineapples and sugar in a pan. Bring the mixture to a boil. Let it simmer for two minutes.
Take the hot cake out of the oven. Poke holes all over with a spoon handle. This helps the juice go deep inside.
Pour the hot pineapple mixture over the cake. Spread it evenly to cover every inch. Let the cake cool down completely.
Beat the cream cheese and butter together. Add the powdered sugar and vanilla slowly. Mix until the frosting is very fluffy.
Spread the frosting over the cooled cake. Sprinkle the chopped pecans on the very top. Serve and enjoy this royal treat.
- Always use room temperature cream cheese for frosting.
- Do not drain the juice from the pineapples.
- Poke many holes so the syrup soaks in.
- Let the cake cool before adding the frosting.
- Toast the pecans for a much better crunch.
- Use a high-quality vanilla extract for better scent.
