Ingredients

  • 1 loaf French bread or Italian bread
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

Preheat the Oven

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line your baking tray with parchment paper.

Prepare the Bread

  • Cut the bread loaf in half lengthwise. Place both halves on the tray with the cut side facing up.

Make Garlic Butter Mix

  • In a bowl, mix melted butter, minced garlic, parsley, oregano, garlic powder, and salt. Stir well.

Spread and Add Cheese

  • Brush the garlic butter mix evenly over the bread halves. Sprinkle mozzarella and parmesan cheese on top. Make sure every bite gets some cheese!

Bake the Bread

  • Bake for 10–12 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly. For a crispier top, broil for 1–2 minutes at the end.

Serve Warm

  • Let the bread cool slightly, slice it, and serve warm. It’s perfect with pasta, salad, or soup.

Notes

  • Use fresh garlic for the best flavor.
  • Mix different cheeses for richer taste.
  • Don’t overbake — the bread should stay soft inside.
  • Add chili flakes for a spicy touch.
  • Use leftover bread to make mini garlic toasts.
