Hennessy Fried Chicken is not your regular fried chicken. It's like a cooking masterpiece that makes normal chicken extra special.  I will share with you a delicious Hennessy Fried Chicken Recipe in this blog post.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Hennessy cognac
  • 2 lbs Chicken pieces
  • 1/2 cup Buttermilk
  • 2 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 1 tbsp Thyme leaves (fresh)
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • 1 1/2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Onion powder
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 1/2 tsp Cayenne pepper
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • Vegetable oil (for frying)

Instructions
 

  • Mix Hennessy, buttermilk, garlic, thyme, paprika, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  • Put chicken in the mix, and keep in the fridge for 2 hours or more.
  • In another bowl, mix flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne, salt, and pepper.
  • Let the chicken get to room temperature for 30 minutes.
  • Heat oil to 350°F, cover chicken in flour mix, then fry.
  • Fry for 12-15 minutes until it's golden and cooked inside.
  • Check with a thermometer to make sure it's 165°F inside.
  • Take out the fried chicken, and get rid of extra oil on paper towels.
  • Let the Hennessy Fried Chicken rest before you eat to let the flavours settle.

Notes

  • Let the chicken soak in Hennessy goodness for a few hours in the fridge.
  • Make it extra crunchy by coating the chicken twice. Dip it back in the flour after the first coat.
