Ingredients
  

  • 3 pounds chicken pieces thighs and legs work best
  • 2 large onions chopped
  • 3 tablespoons Hungarian sweet paprika
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Salt and pepper
  • Fresh parsley

Instructions
 

  • Heat oil and butter in pot. Add salt and pepper to chicken. Brown chicken on all sides well. Take chicken out of pot.
  • Cook chopped onions until soft. Add paprika and cook thirty seconds. Add flour and stir one minute. Slowly add chicken broth while stirring.
  • Put chicken back in pot. Bring to boil then lower heat. Cover and cook thirty minutes. Take chicken out when tender.
  • Strain the sauce to make smooth. Mix some warm sauce with sour cream. Add sour cream mix back to sauce. Put chicken back in sauce.
