Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef 80/20 lean
  • 2 cups cooked white rice
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger grated
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 2 green onions chopped
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil

Instructions
 

  • Cook rice according to package directions.
  • Heat vegetable oil in large skillet.
  • Add ground beef to hot skillet.
  • Cook beef until completely browned.
  • Add minced garlic and grated ginger.
  • Stir and cook for one minute.
  • Mix soy sauce and brown sugar.
  • Pour sauce mixture over beef.
  • Add red pepper flakes to taste.
  • Simmer for five minutes until thickened.
  • Drizzle sesame oil over cooked beef.
  • Serve over warm rice immediately.

  1. Use 80/20 ground beef for best flavor and juiciness
  2. Don't skip the sesame oil - it adds authentic Korean taste
