- 2 cups Heavy cream (16 oz)
- 1 tbsp Dried and crushed lavender flowers
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp Superfine sugar
Take a saucepan and add the heavy cream to it. Heat the cream so that it warms up and steams but not to the extent of boiling.
In the heated cream, add the dried and crushed lavender flowers and mix them. Let the lavender herb leave its extract/flavour until the cream cools down.
When the cream has been cooled down to room temperature, transfer it to a pot and cover it. Place the covered pot in the refrigerator until the cream is cold.
Take a medium-sized bowl and add the superfine sugar, chilled cream, and vanilla extract to it. Then with the help of an electric beater, combine all the ingredients well until the cream acquires a fluffy and light consistency.
The rich and velvety lavender whipped cream is ready. You can use it according to your need and wish.
- For a better aroma of lavender, use lavender sugar. For this, just blend the sugar with the lavender herb for a few seconds. It will bring out the better flavour and aroma of lavender.
- If you do not like the crunches of lavender, after it has left enough flavour, you can strain it.
- You can also use a whisk to mix by hand if you do not have an electric beater.
