- 2 cups canned plum tomatoes peeled
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic minced
- ½ teaspoon dried oregano
- ½ teaspoon dried basil
- ½ teaspoon sugar
- Salt and pepper according to your taste
Heat olive oil in a frying pan on medium heat.
Then add minced garlic and fry for 1 minute till its aroma comes out.
Now mash the canned tomatoes and put them in a pan and cook for 5-7 minutes.
Add oregano, basil, sugar, salt and pepper to it and mix.
Cook the sauce on low flame for 10-15 minutes till it thickens.
Let the sauce cool down and it is ready to be applied on the pizza.
- Do not overcook garlic or else it tastes bitter.
- Try to keep the sauce a little thick so that it does not spread while applying it on the pizza.
- Adjust the spices according to your taste, but do not forget the combination of oregano and basil.
