Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups canned plum tomatoes peeled
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic minced
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon dried basil
  • ½ teaspoon sugar
  • Salt and pepper according to your taste

Instructions
 

  • Heat olive oil in a frying pan on medium heat.
  • Then add minced garlic and fry for 1 minute till its aroma comes out.
  • Now mash the canned tomatoes and put them in a pan and cook for 5-7 minutes.
  • Add oregano, basil, sugar, salt and pepper to it and mix.
  • Cook the sauce on low flame for 10-15 minutes till it thickens.
  • Let the sauce cool down and it is ready to be applied on the pizza.

Notes

  • Do not overcook garlic or else it tastes bitter.
  • Try to keep the sauce a little thick so that it does not spread while applying it on the pizza.
  • Adjust the spices according to your taste, but do not forget the combination of oregano and basil.
  • If the sauce becomes too thick, store it in an airtight container in the fridge and use it for a week.
