- 1 cup All-purpose flour
- 3 cups Buttermilk
- 1 cup Butter or margarine (divided)
- 3 cups Self-rising white cornmeal mix
- 1/4 cup Fresh sage (Finely chopped)
- 1/4 cup Fresh parsley (Finely chopped)
- 3 cups White breadcrumbs
- 7 cups Chicken broth
- 7 large Eggs
- 4 Celery ribs (diced)
- 2 large Sweet onions (diced)
- 1 tbsp Seasoned pepper
Melt butter in a big pan at 425°F for 4 minutes.
Mix cornmeal, flour, eggs, and buttermilk until smooth.
Put the mix into the pan. Bake for 30 minutes at 425°F.
Break cornbread in a bowl; add breadcrumbs, and put aside.
In a pan, melt 1/2 cup butter; cook onions and celery.
Add sage, parsley, and seasoned pepper; cook for 1 minute. Remove.
Mix into cornbread. Mix 4 eggs, chicken broth; stir in.
Put in lightly greased 13x9-inch and 8-inch square pans.
Bake at 400°F for 35-40 minutes until golden brown.
