Macadamia Nut Ice Cream Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 1⁄2 Eggs (separated)
  • 1 cup Caster sugar (100 g)
  • 2 cup Milk (250 ml)
  • 3⁄4 cups Heavy cream (500 ml)
  • 125 g Cup macadamia nuts (finely chopped)

Instructions
 

  • Mix egg yolks and sugar until fluffy. Combine milk and cream. Heat until bubbles form. Add hot milk to yolks. Whisk well. Pour into the saucepan. Cook until thick, 5-8 mins. Don't let it boil. Cool in ice water. Stir often.
  • Whisk the remaining cream until soft peaks form. Mix into a cooled mixture. Add nuts. Pour into the ice cream maker. Freeze following instructions.
  • Serve now or freeze for later. Enjoy the creamy treat!

Notes

  • Use good vanilla for the best flavour.
  • Lightly roast the nuts for a stronger nutty taste.
  • Make sure the ice cream mix is cold before making it for the best texture.
