Ingredients
  

  • Large russet potatoes
  • 1/2 cup  Butter
  • 1 cup  Sour cream
  • 1 cup  Cheddar cheese (Shredded)
  • 1/4 cup  Fresh chives (chopped)
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)

Instructions
 

  • Start by washing and peeling the red potatoes. Cut them into thin, even slices.
  • Grease a baking dish and layer the potato slices. Add salt and pepper.
  • Evenly distribute the butter over the potatoes for a creamy flavour.
  • Cover with foil, bake at 375°F for 45-60 minutes until soft.
  • After baking, spread sour cream and sprinkle cheddar cheese.
  • Return to the oven until the cheese bubbles. Garnish with chives and serve.

Notes

  • Keep an eye on them while boiling to avoid mushiness.
  • These potatoes love good seasoning.
  • When making mashed potatoes, don’t overdo the mixing.
