- 4 Large russet potatoes
- 1/2 cup Butter
- 1 cup Sour cream
- 1 cup Cheddar cheese (Shredded)
- 1/4 cup Fresh chives (chopped)
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
Start by washing and peeling the red potatoes. Cut them into thin, even slices.
Grease a baking dish and layer the potato slices. Add salt and pepper.
Evenly distribute the butter over the potatoes for a creamy flavour.
Cover with foil, bake at 375°F for 45-60 minutes until soft.
After baking, spread sour cream and sprinkle cheddar cheese.
Return to the oven until the cheese bubbles. Garnish with chives and serve.
