Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound shishito peppers
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon sesame seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon yuzu juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes optional

Instructions
 

  • Wash the shishito peppers.
  • Dry them with a paper towel.
  • Heat a pan on medium-high heat.
  • Add sesame oil and let it get hot.
  • Put the shishito peppers in the pan.
  • Cook until they have black spots, turning them sometimes.
  • Mix soy sauce, yuzu juice, and rice vinegar in a bowl.
  • When the peppers are ready, put them on a plate.
  • Pour the sauce over them.
  • Sprinkle with salt, sesame seeds, and chili flakes.
  • Eat while they are hot.

Notes

  1. Use a hot pan so they cook fast.
  2. Do not put too many in the pan at once.
  3. Eat them right away for the best taste.
  4. Add chili flakes if you like spicy food.
  5. Try with a simple dipping sauce for more flavor.
