Equipment

  • Large Microwave Safe Bowl
  • Rubber spatula
  • 8x8 Inch Square Pan
  • Parchment paperĀ
  • Sharp knife

Ingredients

  • 3 Cups Semi-sweet Chocolate Chips
  • 1 Can 14 Oz Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 1/4 Cup Butter
  • 1 Tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1 Cup Chopped Walnuts

Instructions

  • Line your square pan with parchment paper first. Leave some paper hanging over the edges. This helps you lift the fudge out later.
  • Pour the chocolate chips into your large bowl. Add the sweetened condensed milk on top. Add the butter to the bowl as well.
  • Put the bowl in the microwave now. Heat the mixture on high for one minute. Take it out and stir it gently.
  • Heat it for another thirty seconds if needed. Stir until the mixture is very smooth. All the chips should be melted completely.
  • Stir in the vanilla extract and the walnuts. Mix them until they are spread out evenly. The fudge will look shiny and thick.
  • Spread the mixture into your prepared pan. Use your spatula to smooth the top. Make it as flat as possible.
  • Place the pan in the refrigerator. Let it chill for at least two hours. It needs to be firm before cutting.

Notes

  • Use high-quality chocolate chips for better flavor.
  • Do not overcook the chocolate in the microwave.
  • Stir the mixture slowly to avoid air bubbles.
  • Grease the parchment paper for an easy release.
  • Cut the fudge with a warm, dry knife.
  • Add a pinch of salt for more depth.
  • Store the fudge in a cool, dry place.
