Measuring spoons
- 1 Cup Butter
- 8 Oz Cream Cheese
- 1.5 Cups Sugar
- 1 Large Egg
- 1 Tsp Vanilla Extract
- 2.5 Cups All-purpose Flour
- 0.5 Tsp Salt
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees now. Line your pans with parchment paper. This prevents any cookies from sticking later.
Cream the butter and cream cheese together. Use your mixer for a smooth texture. Mix them until they look very fluffy.
Add the sugar to the creamed mixture. Beat it on medium speed for a bit. The mixture should look light and pale.
Crack the egg into the bowl now. Pour in the sweet vanilla extract too. Mix everything until it is well combined.
Slowly add the flour and the salt. Mix on low speed to avoid mess. Stop mixing once the flour disappears fully.
Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the pans. Space them two inches apart for growth. They will spread slightly while they bake.
Bake for ten to twelve minutes total. The edges should be a light brown. Do not overbake these soft butter cookies.
Let them sit on the pan first. Move them to a rack after five minutes. They need to cool before you eat.
- Use room temperature butter for easy mixing.
- Do not overwork the cookie dough at all.
- Measure your flour using the spoon method.
- Chill the dough if your kitchen is hot.
- Use fresh eggs for the best cookie lift.
