Equipment

  • Large skillet
  • Wooden spoon
  • Measuring cups
  • Measuring spoons
  • Cutting board
  • Sharp knife

Ingredients

  • 20 Oz Frozen Corn
  • 1 Cup Heavy Cream
  • 1/4 Cup Butter
  • 2 Tbsp Sugar
  • 1 Tsp Salt
  • 1/2 Tsp Black Pepper
  • 4 Oz Cream Cheese

Instructions

  • Place your skillet on the stove. Set the heat to medium. Add the butter to the warm pan. Let the butter melt slowly.
  • Pour the corn into the skillet. Stir it to coat with butter. Let it cook for five minutes. The corn should get soft.
  • Add the heavy cream to the pan. Pour it in very slowly. Stir the corn and cream together. The mixture will start to bubble.
  • Stir in the sugar and salt now. Add the black pepper for flavor. Keep the heat on medium-low. Do not let the cream burn.
  • Add the cream cheese in small chunks. Stir until the cheese melts completely. The sauce will become very thick. This takes about five minutes.
  • Taste the corn carefully. Add more salt if you like. Turn off the stove. Serve the corn while it is hot.

Notes

  • Use high-quality butter for a better flavor.
  • Stir the corn often so it does not burn.
  • Let the dish sit for two minutes before serving.
  • Add a pinch of cayenne for more heat.
  • Use fresh corn in the summer for extra crunch.
