Ingredients
  

  • 2 packages 10 oz frozen chopped spinach.
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter.
  • 4 ounces softened cream cheese.
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream.
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese.
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder.
  • Salt and black pepper to taste.

Instructions
 

  • Thaw your frozen spinach completely. Squeeze it hard to remove all water.
  • Place a skillet over medium heat. Melt the butter until it bubbles.
  • Add the cream cheese to the skillet. Stir until it is smooth and melted.
  • Pour in the heavy cream and onion powder. Whisk until the sauce is thick.
  • Add the dry spinach to the sauce. Stir well to coat every leaf.
  • Stir in the Parmesan cheese. Season with salt and pepper before serving.

Notes

  • Always squeeze the spinach very dry.
  • Use full-fat cream cheese for better flavor.
  • Add a pinch of nutmeg for depth.
  • Fresh garlic makes it taste even better.
  • Do not overcook the cream sauce.
