Ingredients
  

  • 2 pounds large shrimp peeled and deveined.
  • 3 tablespoons butter.
  • 1 cup chopped onion.
  • 1 cup chopped green bell pepper.
  • 1 cup chopped celery.
  • 2 cloves garlic minced.
  • 1 can 15 ounces tomato sauce.
  • 1 can 14 ounces diced tomatoes.
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce.
  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce.
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano.
  • Salt and black pepper to taste.
  • Cooked white rice for serving.

Instructions
 

  • Melt the butter in your large skillet. Add the onion, pepper, and celery. Cook until they are soft.
  • Stir in the minced garlic. Cook for only one minute. Do not let the garlic burn.
  • Add tomato sauce and diced tomatoes. Stir in all the spices and sauces. Let it simmer for 15 minutes.
  • Add the raw shrimp to the pan. Cook until the shrimp turn pink. This usually takes about five minutes.
  • Spoon the creole over hot rice. Garnish with fresh parsley if you like. Serve it while it is hot.
