Equipment

  • Large mixing bowl
  • 9x13 Baking Pan
  • Pastry Cutter
  • Measuring cups
  • Rolling Pin
  • Biscuit Cutter

Ingredients

  • 2 Cups Bisquick Mix
  • 1/2 Cup Sour Cream
  • 1/2 Cup 7 Up Soda
  • 1/4 Cup Melted Butter

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 450 degrees now. Melt your butter in the microwave safely. Pour the butter into the baking pan. Spread it around to cover the bottom.
  • Put the Bisquick into a large bowl. Add the sour cream to the mix. Use a fork to cut it in. The mixture will look like small crumbs.
  • Pour the 7 Up into the bowl. Stir the mixture very gently now. Do not overmix the dough today. It should be soft and very sticky.
  • Dust your counter with extra baking mix. Place the dough on the floured surface. Pat it down with your hands. Keep it about one inch thick.
  • Use your biscuit cutter to make rounds. Place them in the buttered pan. Put them close so they touch. This helps them rise up straight.
  • Bake the biscuits for fifteen minutes. Wait until the tops are golden brown. Remove the pan from the hot oven. Serve them while they are still warm.

Notes

  • Use very cold sour cream for better dough.
  • Do not stir the soda too much ever.
  • Use a fresh can of 7 Up soda.
  • Make sure your oven is truly hot first.
  • Do not twist the biscuit cutter while pressing.
