- 3 Medium Bananas
- 1/2 Cup Butter
- 1 Cup Sugar
- 1 Large Egg
- 1 Tsp Vanilla
- 1 Tsp Baking Soda
- 1/2 Tsp Salt
- 1.5 Cups Flour
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees now. Grease your loaf pan with extra butter. This prevents the bread from sticking later.
Peel your ripe bananas in a bowl. Mash them well with a large fork. Make sure there are no big lumps.
Add the melted butter to the bananas. Stir them together until they are combined. The mix will look a bit thin.
Mix in the sugar and the egg. Add the vanilla extract to the bowl. Stir well to make it very smooth.
Sprinkle the baking soda and salt inside. Stir these in carefully but very thoroughly. This ensures the bread rises evenly everywhere.
Add the flour to the wet mix. Stir gently until the white streaks vanish. Do not overmix the thick bread batter.
Pour the batter into your prepared pan. Smooth the top with a small spoon. It is now ready for the oven.
Bake the bread for one full hour. Check the center with a thin toothpick. It should come out clean and dry.
- Use bananas that are very dark and soft.
- Do not overmix the batter after adding flour.
- Measure your flour using the spoon and level.
- Let the bread cool before you slice it.
- Check the oven temp with a separate thermometer.
