Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups heavy cream.
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk 14 oz.
  • 6 cups whole milk.
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract.
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips.
  • 1 pinch of sea salt.
  • Marshmallows for the top.

Instructions

Mix the Liquids

  • First, pour the whole milk into the pot. Add the heavy cream next. Pour in the sweetened condensed milk. Use a whisk to mix them well.

Add the Chocolate

  • Now, dump in all the chocolate chips. Add the vanilla extract and salt. The salt makes the chocolate taste better. Give it one quick stir.

Set the Heat

  • Cover the crock pot with the lid. Turn the heat to Low. Do not use the High setting. Low heat prevents the milk from burning.

Cook and Stir

  • Cook the mixture for two hours. Stir it every 30 minutes. This helps the chocolate melt smoothly. It should look very glossy.

Check the Temperature

  • The chocolate chips should be fully melted. The milk should be hot but not boiling. Stir one last time before serving.

Serve and Enjoy

  • Use a ladle to fill your mugs. Leave some room at the top. Add lots of marshmallows or cream. Drink it while it is hot.

Notes

  • Use high-quality chocolate chips for better flavor.
  • Stir often to stop chocolate from sticking.
  • Never let the milk reach a boil.
  • Add a cinnamon stick for extra spice.
  • Use whole milk for the creamiest texture.
  • Keep the pot on "Warm" during parties.
  • Top with crushed peppermint for a minty twist.
