Instructions

Heat Your Oven

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Grease your baking pan with spray.

Mix the Base

  • Put cake mix in a big bowl. Add eggs and 1 cup eggnog. Add melted butter and vanilla.

Add the Spice

Beat the Batter

  • Use your mixer on medium speed. Mix for about two minutes. The batter should look smooth.

Pour and Bake

  • Pour batter into the prepared pan. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes.

The Toothpick Test

  • Stick a toothpick in the center. It should come out clean.

Let it Cool

  • Place the pan on a rack. Let it cool down completely.

Make the Frosting

  • Beat softened butter and powdered sugar. Add 1/4 cup eggnog slowly.

Frost the Cake

  • Spread the frosting over the cool cake. Use a flat spatula for this.

Final Garnish

  • Dust more nutmeg on the top. Serve and enjoy with friends!

Notes

  • Use full-fat eggnog for better taste.
  • Room temperature eggs work the best.
  • Do not overmix the cake batter.
  • Wait until the cake is cold to frost.
  • Store it in the fridge to stay fresh.
  • Add a splash of rum for adults.
  • Sift the powdered sugar for smooth icing.
