- 4 cups Salmonberries
- 6 ½ cups White sugar
- 1 package Powdered fruit pectin (2 ounce)
Clean and sterilize jars, lids, and rings.
Wash and crush berries. Remove some seeds if you like.
Put all the berries in a big pot. Add sugar, and bring to a boil, stirring.
Stir in pectin, and boil for 1 minute, stirring. Skim foam, fill jars, leaving space at the top.
Remove air bubbles with a clean knife. Wipe jar rims with a wet paper towel.
Seal jars tightly with lids. Place jars in a big pot with a rack.
Add boiling water, jars should be covered. Boil jars for 5 minutes, covered.
Take out jars, and let cool for 24 hours. Check the lids, and make sure they're tight.
Store jars in a cool, dark place for up to 1 year.
