Strawberry Butter Cookies Recipe

Ingredients
- 1 cup butter soft
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 cup fresh strawberries mashed
- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons strawberry jam
Instructions
- Heat oven to 350 degrees. Put paper on cookie sheets.
- Mix butter and both sugars in bowl. Beat until fluffy and light.
- Add egg and vanilla to butter. Mix until everything comes together well.
- Add mashed strawberries and jam to mix. Stir gently until strawberries spread evenly.
- Mix flour, baking soda, and salt together. Add to wet mixture slowly and carefully.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough on cookie sheets. Leave space between each cookie.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges set. Don't let cookies get brown.
- Cool on sheets for 5 minutes. Move cookies to wire rack.
