- 1 pound lean ground beef.
- 3 cups diced potatoes.
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese.
- 4 cups chicken broth.
- 1/2 cup chopped onion.
- 1/2 cup shredded carrots.
- 1/2 cup diced celery.
- 1 teaspoon dried basil.
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley.
- 3 tablespoons butter.
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour.
- 1.5 cups whole milk.
- Salt and pepper to taste.
