Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 1/2 cup warm milk
  • Oil for frying

Instructions
 

  • Mix the flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl.
  • Mix the eggs, sugar, vanilla essence and butter in another bowl.
  • Add the warm milk to the mixture and make a soft dough.
  • Leave the dough for 1 hour to rise.
  • Cut the dough into round shapes.
  • Heat the oil and fry the donuts until golden brown.
  • Serve with a sprinkle of sugar or with chocolate.

Notes

  • Sift the flour well so that the donuts are soft.
  • Do not knead the dough too much, just knead it until it is soft.
  • Do not overheat the oil so that the donuts cook well.
  • Garnish with sugar or chocolate as per taste.
  • Serve the finished donuts immediately to retain their freshness.
