This was the time I decided to try something new for the summer season.

Ingredients for Cheese Foam Tea Recipe

Hold your breath because, for this luxurious tea, you are going to need some additional items as compared to ordinary tea. Make your checklist of the following items:

For Tea:

  • Loose leaf black tea = 6 tbsp (or 12 grams)
  • Water = 7-8 cups
  • Raw sugar = to taste (coarsely ground)

For Cheese Foam:

  • Kosher Salt = 1 tsp
  • Full-fat cream cheese = 2 tbsp
  • Granulated sugar = 2 tbsp
  • Whole milk = 6 tbsp (approximately 3 oz or 90 ml)
  • Heavy cream = 8 oz (1 cup)

For Tapioca Pearls:

  • Raw sugar = 200 g (1 cup, coarsely ground)
  • Black tapioca pearls = 1 cup, dried
  • Water = 6-7 cups

Steps for Making Cheese Foam Tea Recipe

For this deluxe tea, follow the following steps:

For Tea:

Step 1

Take a large saucepan and add 7 cups of water to it.

Step 2

Place the saucepan on high flame and boil the water.

Step 3

When the water is boiled, take off the saucepan from the stove. Add the loose-leaf black tea to the boiling water. Cover the saucepan.

Step 4

Keep the saucepan unbothered for a few minutes until it changes its colour to amber-red because of the tea.

Step 5

Strain the tea in a pitcher. Then add coarse raw sugar in it and stir well to mix the sugar.

Step 6

Let the tea cool down to room temperature. Then cover the pitcher and place it in the refrigerator.

For Cheese Foam:

Step 1

Take a small bowl and add cream cheese and milk to it. blend them well so that no lumps of cream cheese are present.

Step 2

Place the saucepan on high flame and boil the water.

Step 3

Take a separate medium-sized bowl and add granulated sugar, cream, and diamond crystal kosher salt. Beat them using an electric or manual beater so that the sugar is completely dissolved and the mixture has turned frothy.

Step 4

Combine the two mixtures and again beat them to mix. The level of doneness is when the mixture has an airy and light, sea foam-like consistency, but should be hardly able to flow.

For Tapioca Pearls:

Step 1

Take a saucepan and add 6 cups of water to it.

Step 2

Boil the water on a high heat.

Step 3

Then add the tapioca pearls and keep stirring so that all the pearls are cooked and start to float. Their colour should be utterly brown by this point.

Step 4

Take them away from the stove, cover the saucepan, and let them aside undisturbed for half an hour. 

Step 5

Take another pot and cook 1 cup of raw sugar and water so that the sugar completely dissolves.

Step 6

Then drain the water from tapioca pearls using a mesh and add them to the syrup. Cover the container.

Serve!

Take the tall glasses and add tapioca pearls, ice cubes, and chilled tea and top with cheese foam mixture respectively. Place thick straws in the glasses. Serve!
