  • Lemon Juice = 1/4 cup
  • Son Fish Sauce = 1/4 cup
  • Thai Chili (Chopped) = 2 teaspoon
  • Garlic (Minced) = 2 teaspoon
  • Shallot (Minced) = 2 tablespoon
  •  Sambal (Fermented Chili Paste) = 2 teaspoon
  • Organic Sugar (or 1/3 tsp stevia) = 3 tablespoon

For The Beef & Garnishes

  • Sirloin Beef Flap (or Filet Mignon) = 8 oz
  • Shallot (Fried) = 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic (Fried) = 1 tablespoon
  • Scallions (Sliced) = 1 tablespoon
  • Picked Cilantro = ⅛ cup
  • Picked Mint = ⅛ cup
  • Julienne Red Radish = ⅛ cup

Steps Involved In Making Bo Tai Chanh

Prepare the Dressing:

  1. Dice Thai chilli.
  2. Mince garlic and shallot.
  3. Combine 2 tsp. Thai chilli, 2 tbsp. minced shallot, and 2 tsp. minced garlic in a medium mixing bowl.
  4. Incorporate 2 tsp. fermented chilli.
  5. Mix in 1/4 cup lemon juice.
  6. Pour in 1 cup coconut water.
  7. Add 1/4 cup Son fish sauce.
  8. Season with 3 tbsp. organic sugar (or 1/3 tsp. stevia).
  9. Stir to combine all ingredients well.

Assemble Bò Tái Chanh:

  1. Trim beef, removing fat and gristle.
  2. Use a long, sharp knife to thinly slice against the grain.
  3. Arrange beef slices on plastic wrap, 5-inch diameter.
  4. Cover with another piece of plastic wrap.
  5. Gently tenderize beef using a rolling pin.
  6. Invert beef slices onto a plate, plastic side up.
  7. Garnish with scallions, mint, cilantro, fried garlic, and fried shallot.
  8. Drizzle 2 tbsp. dressing over the carpaccio.
  9. Serve with bánh tráng mè.
